Prayer Until Something Happens - this week's prayer items...
- Give praise for the Philip Yancey events on Wednesday and Thursday this past week that collectively attracted over 650 people to Union Church. Give praise for the many volunteers and staff who supported the event and for Philip Yancey being so generous of his time and sharing.
- As we enter The Season of Advent, pray for people to pause and reflect. Pray that people will be present to the Christmas message and that God's will is done in our hearts and in our everyday lives.
- Pray for the Youth Advent Banquet on Friday, 27 November. Pray those involved and attending are blessed by the events.
- Pray for peace and calm upon the planet as the world struggles with global terrorist events. Pray for the families and friends of those affected by terrorism around the world, but especially recent events in France, Lebanon and Nigeria. Pray for missionaries who are on the front line of many of these events. Pray that no one is left alone and that people find fellowship and peace during trying times.
