Faith in the Marketplace

Leaders and employees face immense challenges in the workplace. These days, pandemic-related disruption to business models, threats to organisational success, and eroding well-being of employees are genuine stresses at work -- and at home.

In this context, how can we not only persevere but thrive creatively at work?

An eternal perspective

Take your everyday, ordinary life--your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life--and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. ~ Romans 12:1 (The Message)

Union Church's Faith in the Marketplace ministry helps employees and leaders align around God’s vision for the organisation. Together, we can bless our companies and organisations by applying an eternal perspective to our workplace integrity, relationships and decisions.

This ministry aims to help everyone in the workplace:

  • be a positive influence in the workplace
  • understand and respect difference
  • show loving compassion
  • resolve conflict
  • discern God’s will in decision-making
  • create community and outreach in the workplace
  • exercise godly leadership as we are "salt and light"

Transforming the workplace

Together, we can transform the marketplace for God.

As we face the prolonged upheaval to our lives and work caused by COVID-19 and the associated challenges of remote working and isolation from colleagues and community, we can look forward with hope and contribute to our organisations from an eternal perspective.
