Prayer Until Something Happens - this week's prayer items...
- Pray for the celebration of Pentecost Sunday. Pray that the power of the Holy Spirit will always be with us; let it mercifully purify our hearts, and safeguard us from all harm. Give praise for the gift of your Holy Spirit, whose ministries are as multiple as they are magnificent.
- Pray for those who are unwell ~ that the Lord turn weakness into strength, suffering into compassion, sorrow into joy, and pain into comfort for others. Pray that people find comfort in the Lord's promises.
- Pray for local and global leaders as they navigate complex issues. Pray for peace upon all lands.
- Mercy on the lands where the earth has given way from volcanoes, earthquakes or been flooded. Have mercy on the lands where the weather has destroyed livelihoods. Pray for prosperity for those who rebuild houses, and strengthen those who rebuild hope so that entire communities may face the future without fear.
- Pray for people to be more prayerful. Lord, use me and change me. Lord, use Union Church and change Union Church.
