U Matters

How do you manage your finances God's way for God's glory? Jeff Ryan is a UBS private banker with a passion to help people discover generosity and stewardship. He has been my hero for years as I have watched him live out his passion for helping people with their finances. We are honoured to interview him during the morning worship services. He and his colleagues will offer the "Navigating your Finance God's Way" course at Union in January. You might want to consider this course--it could change your life and your relationship not only with money, but with our Lord.

Stewardship

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10)

The above verse in 1 Peter came to mind during my prayer time. What a reminder that EVERYONE is gifted and we are ALL called to be faithful stewards, including you and me. I was also encouraged by my small group this week as I learnt how brothers and sisters around me are making use of the possessions, gifts, time and talents from God to serve others wherever they are.

My prayer is that God would give us the courage to obey as our identity does not depend on what we "own" but who we are in Him. May He grant us a thankful heart and guide us to be good stewards as individuals and as a congregation for His Kingdom and glory.
