Boxes of Hope

Join in the fun when Union Youth create Boxes of Hope for babies, toddlers and teens in need. 

Everyone in the church is invited to donate empty shoe boxes and NEW essential items for the kids. Check out the lists of recommended gifts below the registration form. 

Drop off your donations at church on Sunday or any time during working hours before the evening of 4 November.

For Baby Box (1-3 years old):

• bar of baby soap
• package of baby wet wipes
• toddler toothbrush
• toddler toothpaste
• face towel
• picture book
• soft toddler toy
• crayons
• If you still have space, consider safe toys, a cup and a bowl, reusable nappy
  
  

For Teenage Box:

• 1 bar of soap
• 1 or 2 large toothbrushes (keep in original packaging)
• 1 large tube of toothpaste
• 1 notebook - A5 size is great
• 1 pack of fun pens / colouring pencils (please remember an eraser and sharpener)
• 1 hygiene item - face cloth, lip balm, har bands, water bottle, reusable period pads
• 1 fun item - pack of cards, grown up colour books, notecards, mini jenga, rubiks cube
• 1 active item - stress balls, jump rope, slinky spring, frisbee
• 1 fun, lovable item - toy, watch, fun sunglasses, cap
• If you have room - reusable pads, additional stationery, solar calculators, geometric sets, cool stickers, notecards
  
  

What NOT to include:

SECOND-HAND ITEMS FOOD or MEDICINE
CONFLICT RELATED ITEMS - toy guns, soldiers, knives
CLOTHING - other than hats and sunglasses
FRAGILE ITEMS - Glass containers, mirrors
LIQUIDS - of any kind including blow bubbles, shampoo, bubble bath, toiletry sets, aerosols
