U MATTERS

What a blessing it was to hear our choir’s Cantata last Sunday. We are so blessed to have such gifted choir members who give of their time and talent. Thank you also to Selene Au who played the piano and to our dear choir director Forrest Morr. What a wonderful Sunday! Thank you!

The past Sunday was also very special as many of you were in the Sanctuary. Such a joy to celebrate together.

Our Advent readings remind us that the reason Mary and Joseph were going to Bethlehem was for a census. They had to go and be counted. In our staff meeting this week we were reflecting on logistics and were reminded that we too conduct a census. Each week we manage the ratio of vaccinated to non-vaccinated people. This process allows us to operate at a fuller capacity - but we need your participation to make the ratios work. Also, thank you for your patience as you get checked in.

This Sunday, we are excited about the Children’s Christmas Musical and we really hope you come - it will be a creative presentation of the Christmas story.

“In those days a decree went out from Emperor Augustus that all the world should be registered. This was the first registration and was taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria. All went to their own towns to be registered. Joseph also went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was descended from the house and family of David.” Luke 2:1-4 NRSV

Blessings, Pastor Michele
