U Matters

The 5PM services are where the action is, especially over the next two weeks!

This Sunday, Dr David Miller is speaking at the 5PM service. According to Pastor Greg, "He is the go-to guy in relating faith to the marketplace. He is a former investment banker who was first at Yale and now at Princeton University. He has done some amazing things." Additionally, he will be giving a seminar on Work and Calling this Saturday, 30 Apr 10:00AM-12:30PM. See below for details.

On Sunday 15 May, the Vicar of Baghdad, Canon Andrew White will be speaking at 5PM. If that is not exciting enough, immediately following the service, Union Church is hosting a fundraising dinner at the LRC at 6:30PM:. Limited tickets are available at HKD800. Funds will go towards building a school for Iraqi refugee children in Jordan. If interested, please see Lee-Ann or Pastor Michele at the Table on the Green. We are excited to be a part of this work. For more information on Canon White, please check out this article, click here.

The GOOD NEWS is that we have just finished the “boring” books of the Old Testament, so if you join now you can start with all the great stories about David. Find out more (and get your One Year Bible) at the Table on the Green after Sunday’sservice. Sign up with Chris Yorks or Danielle Bradsher.

Griefshare: Have you lost a loved one or know someone who has? Join us for 4 weeks to learn about grief through an interactive DVD series. Experts speak on signs, symptoms, and impact of grief. Join us Tuesdays 17, 24, 31 May and 7 Jun 7:30-9:00PM. Please see Pastor Michele and sign up at the Table on the Green.
