“The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein”

– Psalm 24:1

Stewardship begins and ends with the understanding of God’s ownership of all, including you and me. It is the Lord who entrusted us the management of the universe, our physical, mental and spiritual lives for His glory. All we have are only borrowed assets; and we are mere humble caretakers of His gifts, which we utilize for God-honouring purposes.

The Lord has the right to expect us to perform without pay, but He does bestow resources to His faithful stewards for use. As we prosper under His grace, it is only right to attribute to God’s generosity by giving back the gifts we received – our energy, skills, possessions and all. Hence, Stewardship is a way of life that helps celebrate the joy of God’s generosity.
