This week is the beginning of the CNY, but also of Lent. One of the joys of ministry in Hong Kong is the fellowship and friendship between the pastors of the various international churches. For the past five years we have worked together in a joint Lenten project. This year it takes the form of a "Pray It Forward" prayer card. Please pick up a free card this and next Sunday when you are in church. There is a Psalm to be read and a church to be prayed for. For those who can't wait to get the card, here are the first few days: The Ash Wednesday reading is Psalm 1 and we are to pray for Calvary Church. 19 February read Psalm 8 and pray for Kowloon International Baptist Church. 20 February read Psalm13 and pray for St. John's Cathedral. Saturday read Psalm 15 and pray for Joyful Harvest Fellowship. May the Psalms enrich our lives as we settle in the rhythm of reading and praying in preparation for Easter. Pastor Greg |

The AGM this year will be held on Sat, 21 Mar, 2015. It will begin at 6:00PM with a "Fellowship Feast”, followed by the meeting at 7:00PM. Please join us for this event as we celebrate together, and give glory to God. Non-members are welcome to attend. Please bring a plate of eats to share at our Annual AGM Fellowship Feast – Appetizers, Dinner or Dessert (enough for 20 people). This Lenten season, the pastors of Hong Kong invite you to journey with us through the Psalms. The 'Pray It Forward'' card contains a psalm and a church's name for each day leading up to Easter. Pray the psalm, and pray for the church. Copies can be picked up at Table on the Green. |

Wed, 25 Feb, 8:00PM (Refreshments at 7:30PM) Mike Powers, a three-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu U.S. national champion, a former pro-surfer from California, and a mixed martial arts instructor and inspirational speaker in HK, will deliver the talk, 'The Principles of a Black Belt: New Year, New Life.' Mike will relate decades of martial arts discipline to the Christian's body, soul, and spirit. |

No Youth this Friday due to CNY! All Youth are welcome to join us next Friday night, 27 Feb from 6:30PM to 9:00PM for a movie night! Poverty-X Fri, 6 Mar from 6:00PM to 10:00PM (Starting at Union Church, Ending at Community Church) Youth, ages 11 to 18 are invited to take part in a evening to learn about poverty in Hong Kong along. Youth will also be putting together blessing bags to take to homeless communities in Kowloon. The evening will finish with worship at Community Church. Union Youth are hosting Camp for Kayaks, a fundraiser that will be held on the evening of Friday, 20 Mar. Kids aged 5-10 will be able to come, play games, and do activities all with youth and adult supervision. Food such as pizza and snacks will be provided. Tickets are HKD250 per-child. All proceeds go to Reed Garrett’s Boy Scout Eagle Project which is to restore 12 of Union's older Kayak's that are in need of some TLC! This Sunday Kingdom Kids will be showing VeggieTales Movies. Please bring your kids directly to the lower annex upon arrival. Teachers are needed! Matthew 9:37-38"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. " We have 150 children in our Sunday School Classes and we'd love for you to prayerfully consider joining our awesome and dedicated team of teachers. We will be starting the Spring Term curriculum in March and this will be a good time to join. All is required is the love to teach God's words and have a loving, patience and gentle heart for children, and the rest will be trained by us. Happy Chinese New Year! New Tuesday Course: "Experiencing God" When: Tuesdays, 3 Mar - 26 May 2015, 12 weeks This is a course where participants are invited to experience God in an intimate love relationship through which He reveals to them His will, His ways and His work. The course consists of a discussion of pre-session readings and a video which summarizes the biblical principles underlying the subject for the week followed by discussions and personal sharing. Over the years, God has used this course to awaken believers to a radically God-centered way of life.
