The Well

Dr. Eunice Seng and Dr. Koon Wee will examine the integral relationship between architecture, the church and metropolitan development. Eunice is an Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong famed for her tough love teaching approach; she earned her Masters of Architecture from Princeton University and holds degrees from Columbia University and the National University of Singapore. Her husband and co-lecturer, Koon is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong; he earned his Masters of Architecture at Yale University. Together they direct SKEW collaborative, an architectural studio based in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Eunice and Koon have a beautiful girl Ella who attends Union Church every week with them.

Oasis

Wednesday, November 20 at 7:30pm

Kyle Koster, one of the founders of Oasis and the former youth director at Union Church, will speak on his life as a Christian entrepreneur and a manufacturer of guitar accessories. 

Thanksgiving Feast 

We have so much to be thankful for! We invite you to join us for a family thanksgiving lunch on Sunday November 24 immediately following the 11:00 am service. Please sign up to bring a dish at the Table on the Green. The turkey and fix in’s provided, looking for sides and desserts. Christmas Fun Fair

Sunday December 1 at 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

The Christmas Fun Fair is as an outreach opportunity for our family, friends, colleagues and neighbours in which to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas. There will be lots of fun things to do – arts & crafts plus games for kids, a marketplace with fair trade/NGO vendors and lots of festive music followed by a special family service at 5:00 pm. There are two ways for you to get involved. We need lots of volunteer help to bring food, play music/sing, and help with arts & crafts and with set-up. The second is to invite your community of family & friends to come along!

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS MUSICAL

We are rehearsing the Christmas Musical, "MTR to Bethlehem", (to be performed on December 8) during the Sunday School hour. Children from 3 to 10 years old, proceed directly to the Lower Annex. Please pick up your songbook and CD and sign up at the Lawn or download from church website. MUSIC MAKERS

Music Makers is back! Every Wednesday from 4:00-5:00pm at the Fellowship Hall. Children from 3 to 10 years old are welcome to join our music and voice coaching as we rehearse the chorus songs, main parts and solos from this year's Christmas musical.

Mali Hong from Sunrise Educational Fund will be interviewed during the services on Sunday November 24. Mali's organization works among migrant workers, and it is estimated that there are now 300 million migrant workers in China. Come and hear about the unique way that they are serving the community.

Refugee Run Crossroads (Dec. 7 Saturday): There are approx. 7000 asylum seekers in Hong Kong. Come and experience their experience! Sign up at the Table on the Green.
