U Matters

In last week's sermon Brenna asked, "what are the barriers that stand in the way of sharing your faith?" A great question. For some, this question may have evoked guilt. Others may have been challenged as they are unaware of the words of Jesus in the Great Commission to "go into the world to proclaim the gospel." Identifying barriers to sharing our faith is important. For some, barriers may include time, for others it may be not knowing what to say and how to say it, for others it may be fear.

There are many ways to share the gospel. Francis of Assisi said, "preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words." This Sunday we invite you to hear from President and Founder of Faith Comes by Hearing, Jerry Jackson. Come be encouraged and inspired. Come discovery how this ministry creatively proclaims the 'good news' around the world.

Guest Speaker, Jerry Jackson, Founder and President of Faith Comes By Hearing will be speaking at Union during the 9.30AM and 11AM services. We will also be taking up our first special offering of the year for FCBH. The Asia Board of FCBH will match any funds given during the Union services. Pastor Matthew will speak at 8:30AM and 5:00PM services.

Oasis

Oasis, the young adult ministry, will gather for a talk and fellowship on Wednesday night at 8:00PM. Refreshments will start at 7:30PM.

Youth

Spring Mission Trip! Fri, 25-31 Mar to Tacloban, Philippines to work with Kid’s International Ministry to build homes in the local community. We will work 4 days and then have one fun adventure day in Leyte, where students can choose between diving, the beach, or a jungle adventure. Early Bird Special $5,000 (Diving & Jungle Adventure Extra) if you register on or before29 Jan. To register, email Brenna. 

Kingdom Kids
New Format of Children Worship Time Parents please be informed that starting from 10 Jan, 2016, children ages 3-10 years old will go directly to the Lower Annex for Children's Worship Time. We will have worship for the first 15 minutes followed by bible memory verse, prayer and group activities before proceeding to Sunday School classes. This new format will allow our children to have a group worship and be able to learn more children's Christian songs.

New Study "Biblical Peacemaking: Applying the Gospel to Conflicts of Daily Life"
