U Matters

Sunday is U Connect Celebration. Pastor Matthew has recruited 19 organisations and ministries of Union that would love to show you how you can find support and serve at Union. Pastor Michele will be asking, "Where are you on your journey?" and share about such milestones as Alpha, baptism, membership, small group and service opportunities. Ting, Brenna and Lee-Ann will be on hand to share about children's ministry, youth ministry and missions. As Chris Yorks says (and he wants me to quote him): "Step up and sign up."

Speaking of really stepping up, our amazing BUFF committee has been hard at work. Be sure to read the progress report in this Acts@22A. The Sunday bulletin will contain an insert on the journey toward redevelopment. God has raised up and is raising up a new generation to lead Union forward. We ask you to prayerfully consider what God would have you do. What an exciting time is in store for us!

Building Union for the Future - Update

The Building Union for the Future team thanks you for your support of prayer, time and talents over the past six months as it is has moved towards implementing the decision to redevelop 22A Kennedy Road.

  • A competent and highly motivated team from the congregation has taken up the challenge to deliver a new church and temporary accommodation.
  • An inspiring church design has been prepared and approved by the Joint Leaders and Trustees.
  • An excellent design for the temporary church and office space has been prepared (see BUFF table).
  • Two submissions have been made seeking Government approvals, the second was rejected
  • The design of the new church will be shared with you once the necessary Government approvals have been obtained.
  • The church (Trustees) will fully control the redevelopment instead of a Special Purpose Vehicle.

As we continue to plan and work together towards redevelopment, we must remain mindful of the Lord’s plan for Union.

“We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.” Proverbs 16:9

Your continued prayer support is essential for the Joint Leaders, Trustees and Building Union for the Future team to successfully accomplish the redevelopment.
