U Matters
Sunday at the 9:30AM and 11AM services we will enjoy “Christmas Unplugged”. Our children will be amazing. We are grateful to Jacklien Lee, our wonderful Children’s Ministry Director and her capable colleague Elza Wong. Be sure to thank them and God for the ministry he has given to them. Jacklien has replaced a legend. She has built upon Ting’s program and this musical is just the latest example. Thank you for leading children, parents, and others to make Children’s Ministry thrive.

THE CHRISTMAS UNPLUGGED CHILDREN MUSICAL, 9:30AM and 11AM Service

Finally, the time we have all been waiting for, the "Christmas Unplugged” Children Musical is finally here. Our children have been practicing the past 6 Sundays and they are all excited for this opportunity to perform in front of all the congregation. Please join us this Sunday to show your support and bless all of our children with your presence as they share the good news of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ, through their eyes. We look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday!

MAKE YOUR 2016 RESOLUTION: Read the Whole Bible in One Year!
Join other committed members of Union Church. Sign up this Sun. 
Have you ever read the whole Bible? Do you think you just don’t have the time to do this? Make 2016 the year that you read the whole Bible. It will only take you 15 minutes a day. Each day’s reading includes portions from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. We will help you, encourage you and have a quarterly celebration to share our progress. Our goal is to have 100 members of Union Church committed to doing this together. This is also a great program for children, who need to read 15 minutes before bedtime. We have found the best One Year Bible for Children to create this habit early in their lives. Sign up at the “Read the Whole Bible in One Year Commitment” table on the Green after services. Dan Millisor will speak on his experiences as a leading executive with P&G in China and as a mentor of young professionals. Following Dan's talk, we will break into three small groups: 1) examining big questions of life (university students), 2) the life of David (open to all), and 3) the book of Galatians (open to all).

Youth

Christmas Party This Friday, 11 Dec! Both Sr. High & Jr. High youth are invited to join us this Friday from 6:30 to 9:00pm for our annual Christmas party.  We will have Games, Food, Fun, and a Christmas gift exchange! Please Bring a Wrapped Gift of no more then $50HKD for our annual gift exchange game!

Spring Mission Trip  At this year Youth Missions Banquet/and others give the funs for the youth to build 8 houses in the Philippines with Kid’s International Ministry (KIM). The challenge had been thrown down and now it is up to our youth to answer! Over Easter break the youth are going to be going down to either Tocloban or Palawan Philippines to start building our houses! Dates and sight are not confirmed yet. Please let us know in the next few weeks if you or your children are interested in coming on this years mission trip. The size of our group will depend on our location, so please let us know if you would be interested in going.

Kingdom Kids

Christmas Musical Final Dress Rehearsal, Saturday 12 Dec, from 8:45AM to 12Noon
This Saturday will be our Final Dress Rehearsal before the performance and it would be much appreciated if all the children could arrive church by 8:45AM all dressed in their costumes. Please bring your children directly to the sanctuary. For parents who will be staying back to wait for their children, it will be so wonderful if you can help us with the cookie baking and goodie bags packing at the Fellowship Hall starting from 9:00AM. 

Christmas Cards Family Project for St Barnabas & HOLF 
Please remember to bring along the loving Christmas Cards created by your family for the St.Barnabas and the residents of HOLF Centre and drop them off at the collection box by the Kingdom Kids Table latest by this Sun, 13 Dec. We hope to present around 120 Christmas cards as part of our Children Christmas outreach to the underprivileged elderly and homeless of HK under the care of St.Barnabas and the residents of HOLF. Preferably Bible verses and Christmas greetings & drawings, either in English or Chinese, will be greatly appreciated. We welcome families that wants to do more than one card. 

HOLF Visit, Sat 19 Dec, from 1:00PM to 5:00PM
Kingdom Kids together with the Ragless family are organising a visit to the HOLF (Home of Loving Faithfulness) Centre on Sat, 19 Dec. If you would like to join us, please sign up at the Kingdom Kids table. We will be bringing our Christmas Musical program to the residents of the HOLF Centre. HOLF is a Christian ministry that provides life-long care for severely handicapped children and adults in Hong Kong.

Sunday School Christmas Party, Sun 20 Dec
Kingdom Kids will be hosting a mini Christmas Party for all of our Sunday School kids. There will be games, crafts and snacks and children ages from 3-10 years old are invited to go directly to Lower Annex.

Local Outreach Opportunities - Mark Your Calendar
  • Sat 19 Dec, 1:00-4:00PM families will gather to Decorate Cookies for YWAM Sons and Daughters and make cards of encouragement to hand out. 
  • We are partnering with a local Tung Chung church for a series of Christmas outreach opportunities in Tung Chung, Tai O and Ngong Ping on 20, 23 & 24 Dec. Please contact Eric Fung or Lee-Ann by the end of Nov for more details.

Small Group and Study

STEWARDSHIP - "Navigation Your Finances God's Way" - Come join our 9 weeks course and learn to become more content in making an eternal difference with possessions. You will learn about God's role in our finances and the Biblical principles we should apply in our lives. Starting on 11 Jan, 2016 Monday nights 7PM - 9PM. Bring you own dinner. Please sign up at .
