U Matters

Shakespeare has Othello saying that he “loved not wisely, but too well.” Is it possible to love God and others wisely? Paul prays for that and so should we. If you missed the Jazz service last Sunday, you missed a great one! The musicians played and sang wisely and well. They gave great joy to God and to those gathered.

This week is your chance to find a special place of fellowship, learning, or service. It is Union’s annual U-Connect Sunday. Take time after the services to check out some exciting opportunities for growth! Speaking of services, the 8:30AM service begins after a long summer’s break. Join us for a family-friendly formal service with communion every week.

Saturday Eve Couples’ Bible Study (CBS) The SAT Couple Bible Study group will study the
Couples of the Old Testament by the LifeGuide Bible studies series this Fall. The nine couples from the Old Testament will be Adam & Eve, Abraham & Sarah, Isaac & Rebekah, Jacob & Rachel, Boaz & Ruth, Elkanah & Hannah, David & Abigail, Hosea & Gomer and King Xerxes & Esther. These were the couples who live with chronic disappointment and couples who overcome all obstacles to be together. In these timeless stories (though some may be strange to our culture), we will have much to learn about marriage, God and ourselves. Our first session will be Saturday, 3 September from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. New couples or those who are dating seriously are very welcome to join our study. Our group focus is to build Christ-centered marriage and family. We meet twice a month. Besides bible study, we have prayer and fellowship with a variety of good food, and young children are welcome too.  We usually meet at Jardine Lookout, Parkview, or Sai Ying Pun. For more details, please contact & Linda Tan.

Looking to Serve in Hospitality? Please contact Pastor Michele if you are able to help. We have some upcoming events that could really use your support.
