U Matters

This week I have missed a lunch. It didn't feel good missing a connection. How are we doing as a church at connecting? Last Sunday I said goodbye to a woman who met Christ at Union. She came to us through a connection with a former Union member from Seoul who told her about us. That is a great example of the Body of Christ connecting!

What a joy it is to welcome so many new people as well as old friends returning after the summer. The Joint Leaders (Deacons, Committee of Management, and Trustees) met this week and are intent that we provide a friendly place for all to grow in Christ. Let’s all step out of our comfort zone and get to know the people sitting next to us. There are so many ways we can grow together. Please pray as we plan to find ways to reach out not only into the community but right into our
own congregation.

In Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Ezekiel, the Old Testament reaches its literary climax. These inspired authors often establish the credibility of their message by foretelling the future, but they also meddle in our lives, challenging us to recognise the injustices we do not want to see. Host and speaker, Andrew Egan was educated at Bristol, Oxford, and Manchester and holds degrees in Theology, Divinity, and Education.
