“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.” - 1 Timothy 6:6-7 For me, and perhaps others, a stumbling block to stewardship is my nagging, false feeling that what I have is “mine,” that I somehow “earned it.” Being the Lord’s steward means taking this verse from 1 Timothy to heart, understanding that I truly have no claim on my wealth, my talents, or my time. They are neither mine to hold, nor to distribute according to my own notions. They were merely delivered into my temporary care; my job is to be God’s earthly servant, helping Him to allocate these resources for His purposes. Only through conscientious prayer can I truly become a God-centered – rather than self-centered – steward. Stewardship requires God’s close guidance and is an opportunity to grow closer to Him as I seek His will through prayer. Frank Proctor |

Join us this Friday at Youth group for our Fellowship Night, with Pizza and lots of games. Jr. High 6:30PM to 8:00PM and Sr. High From 7:30PM to 9:00PM. We Need Your Old Suitcases/Duffel Bags! We are looking for old suitcases or large bags to help us transport hundreds of T-shirts and supplies down to the Philippines for our Youth Fall Mission trip. If you have bags/suitcases (they will find a new home in Manila at the end of the trip), please let Brenna know! Still time to Sponsor students in the Philippines through KIM ministry. Sunday School Teachers Needed Kingdom Kids is looking for committed volunteers who will partner with us in the ministry of teaching our children God's Word. We are looking for LEAD TEACHERS for our 3 and 6 year old classes at 11.00AM and SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS for our 4 and 9 year old classes at 9.30AM. There will be Sunday School Teacher’s Workshop on Sat, 19 September from 9.30AM to 12.30PM in the Fellowship Hall. This workshop is meant to equip volunteer teachers for ministering to our growing Children’s Ministry. If you would like to help us as a lead teacher or as a substitute teacher, and would like to join the teacher’s workshop, please contact us at Children's Ministry or call 21010414 for more information. Sunday School 2015-2016 Registration All children joining our Sunday School classes for the year 2015-2016 must be registered by filling out and signing our Registration Form available from the Kingdom Kids Table (in front of the lower annex room), or click here. Wardrobe to Wardrobe gently used clothing drive We will be collecting clothing donations over the Sundays, 27 Sept - 1 Nov. Please bring your unwanted, gently used adult's and children's clothing, toys, and other small accessories to the church and earmark it "Wardrobe to Wardrobe".
