Praying the Psalms: Learning how to rage, reflect and rejoice!

6 September, 2022 7:45pm

The powerful, poetic language of the Psalms allows us to express honestly to God our joys and sorrows, our hopes and fears. When we learn to pray the Psalms, we gain deeper insight into our own circumstances and those in the wider world, thus strengthening our faith. Ultimately, we can rejoice in the Lord’s goodness.

Led by Catriona Woodrow, this class will run on Tuesdays, 6, 13 and 20 September. You may join by either Zoom or in-person at Union Church, 7:45pm - 9:00pm.

Catriona has been a member of Union Church since 1993, and served as a Deacon from 2004 to 2019. She previously taught Modern Languages for many years. In 2015 she began full-time study at the Lutheran Theological Seminary. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Theology in 2017, and the Master of Divinity degree in 2020. Catriona is involved in a teaching ministry and is also a Stephen Leader. She has previously taught classes at Union Church on the History of the Church in China and on our founding pastor, Dr. James Legge, and the missionary Robert Morrison.

We look forward to welcoming you to the class. Please register.
