Ash Wednesday Pancakes and Worship

Union Church welcomes you to the Ash Wednesday service on 11 February 2026.
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, the 40 days leading to the Cross and Jesus' Resurrection. The worship service is a time of reflection - to contemplate our mortality and the dying of self that comes with new life in Christ.
Traditionally pancakes are served on Shrove Tuesday, the day prior to the beginning of Lent. Why? Learn more here. At Union Church, we will serve pancakes right before the worship service on Wednesday. Join us.
Food and fellowship from 6:30pm on.
The one-hour worship service starts at 7:30pm.
