Ladies Retreat 2026

We are excited to announce the 10th Annual Ladies Retreat!!

Just as birds find strength in their flock, we too find joy and renewal in one another. Join us in Phuket for Birds of a Feather — a weekend to rest, reflect, and rise together in God’s Grace.

The retreat programme starts on 29 January at 6:00pm and concludes on Sunday, 1 February at around midday.

We will stay at the new beachfront 5-star Kora Beach Resort Hotel, which is nestled along the pristine coastline of Layan Beach. Learn more about Phuket. 

what to expect

Together we’ll worship, pray, listen to stories of faith, and be encouraged through meaningful talks and moments of laughter.  Between times of fellowship, we’ll taste the vibrant flavours of Thailand, explore Phuket’s beauty and nature, and let God refresh our hearts.

Please note that the quoted prices DO NOT include airfares to and from Phuket International Airport. We considered group flight tickets, but the quotes were high and inflexible to cater for each individual traveller’s needs. Booking your own flights may offer better deals on extras, especially if you have air miles or plan to extend your stay.  Please see advice in the section below. 

The retreat price (HK$3700 shared accommodation; HK$5300 single accommodation) includes: 

• Room for 3 nights (Thurs/Fri/Sat) and buffet breakfast for 3 mornings (Fri/Sat/Sun)
• Thursday Evening - Welcome reception with refreshments and snacks
• Friday - Morning Tea/Snacks and Light Lunch with drink while we have sessions for worship, reflection and small group discussions
• Friday Evening - Festive Dinner
• Saturday - Morning Tea/Snacks and Light Lunch with drink while we have sessions for worship, reflection and small group discussions
• Sunday – Worship session and communion

Do note that for Saturday evening, you will have free time to explore Phuket.  Additionally, lunch on Sunday after worship is not included and will be at your own expense.

exclusions

These items need to be paid separately on your own account: flights, two airport transfers between Phuket International Airport to the hotel, Saturday dinner, Sunday lunch and costs related to getting around Phuket and shopping etc. 

We are exploring arranging airport transfers for group arrivals and departures on recommended flights (see below) and will update the costs involved in due course for those interested.

Please book your flight so that you are at the hotel no later than 6:00pm on Thursday, 29 January, and that you stay at the resort until noon on Sunday, 1 February 2026.

We recommend that all ladies secure their own travel insurance for the retreat. This coverage protects against trip cancellations, medical emergencies, lost luggage, and other issues. Please compare policies to find one that best meets your needs for this special event. Your peace of mind is important!

Ground transportation between the Phuket International Airport and the hotel can take around 30 minutes. 

Most passports including China and India are on the visa exemption scheme, but please double check here whether you need a visa for entry into Thailand.

Payment

Please pay $3700 (shared accommodation) or $5300 (single accommodation) by bank transfer, by cheque or the preferred method - by credit card online. Payment requested at the time you register and no later please than 8 December 2025.

By credit card online - You may pay via credit card using Union Church's online giving form. (A 3% fee will be added to credit card payments. Please pay $3811 for shared accommodation and $5459 for single accommodation.)

By cheque - Please make your HK$ cheque payable to "Union Church". Designate "Ladies Retreat 2026" on the back of your cheque and post it to Union Church, 22A Kennedy Road, 4/F - Accounts Department, Mid-levels, Hong Kong. 

By bank transfer - Please pay into Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, Account No. 411-1-000037-2, SWIFT Code if needed is SCBLHKHHXXX. Please alert the Church office at   when you make the transfer, noting "Ladies Retreat 2026".
