The entire church and our Mid-Levels neighbours are invited to gather on Saturday, 13 September to Bless the City of Hong Kong in practical ways. We are collaborating with our Ministry Partners - 22A Prayer Walk, Chung King Ministry, Faith Comes By Hearing, Here in Nature, Inner City Ministries, Kun Sun Ministry, Sons & Daughters and St Barnabas' Society and Home.
We will start at Union Church at 9:30am for a brief time of worship, then go out in teams to do various acts of service, bless others and be blessed! Join us - bring your friends and family members as most activities are suitable for all ages.

1. 22A prayer Walk
Bringing Transformation to our Neighborhood Through Prayers
The transforming power of prayers can break spiritual strongholds, awaken hearts to God’s truth, and reshape neighborhoods in the light of the Gospel. Pastor Michele will lead the Bless the City participants on the 22A Prayer Walk, where we will intercede for our neighborhood in prayers. As we walk along Tramway Path, MacDonnell Road, Kennedy Road, and beyond, we will greet local residents and workers, and we will lift the needs of our community before God. We will invite the Holy Spirt to accompany us, guide our steps, and bring transformation to our neighborhood.
Time commitment: 9:15am Commissioning at Union Church; 10:15am - 11:30am
What to bring: Water, sunhat, sun screen, comfortable walking shoes, umbrella if needed.
Suitable for: Individuals, families, youth.
Maximum participants: No limit on participants

2. Chung King Ministry
Feed My Sheep - Share Love and Meals at Chung King Ministry
Chung King Ministry (CKM) is a faith-based ministry led by Pastor Samuel and Deacon Shlivya Dhavale. Located in Chungking Mansions, this ministry serves the elderly, refugees and asylum seekers by providing free meals, spiritual support, and community. Bless the City participants will serve at CKM by distributing boxed lunches to the guests, enjoying good conversations with them, and offering prayers for their personal needs.
Time commitment: 9:15am-10am Commissioning at Union Church; 10:30am - 12:30pm at CKM
What to bring: Water, comfortable walking shoes, Octopus card
Suitable for: Individuals, families, youth (Cantonese language is a help!)
Maximum participants: 20 persons
3. Faith Comes By Hearing
Serving Lunch and Sharing the Audio Bible with a Hindi Speaking Community
Faith Comes By Hearing’s (FCBH) vision is to reach the unreached and for everyone on Earth to hear the Gospel in their own heart language. Their goal is to see that the Word of God is recorded and freely provided in every language that needs it by the year 2033.
Bless the City participants will provide and serve lunch to Hindi-speaking refugees and asylum seekers, who are part of Andrew Ahmed’s ministry. Bless the City participants will get to experience first hand how FCBH’s Oral Bible proclaimer shares the gospel to people in their own language. They will also hear updates of FCBH’s latest work, and watch impactful video taken directly from the field.

4. Here in Nature
Called to Care - Beach Cleanup for the Love of God’s Creation
Founded by three passionate environmentalists, Here in Nature is dedicated to fostering environmental stewardship in Hong Kong. They believe that caring for the earth is an act of worship and a way to honor the Creator by protecting His handiwork. They run regular workshops and eco-outreach programs from mountain trail restoration to beach cleanup for schools, churches, and business organizations. Bless the City participants will enjoy a meaningful and fun morning, first hearing a short presentation about Hong Kong’s environmental challenges, followed by going on a beach cleanup at Shek O. All the trash collected will then be weighed, classified, and recorded, contributing to the big data for a continuous environmental research since 2021.
Time commitment: 9:15am-10am Commissioning at Union Church; 10:00am-1:15pm at Shek O Beach
What to bring: Water, sun screen, sun hat, a towel, umbrella, Octopus card, cash to buy snack
Suitable for: Family with kids, youth, adults
Maximum participants: 25 persons
5. Inner City Ministries
Share the Gospel and have a Blast with Kids - Serve at the ICM Kids’ Club
Inner City Ministries serves the Nepalese community in Hong Kong and shares the good news of Christ through practical ministries, combing education, vocational training, and care programs to foster holistic transformation. Their most significant children ministry is the Saturday Kids’ Club, which serves children from kindergarten age to teenage and builds strong relationships with their family members. Bless the City participants will join the afternoon program in the Kids’ Club, leading worship, teaching Bible stories, and doing games and crafts.
Time commitment: 9:15am Commissioning at Union Church (optional); 1:30pm-3:30pm at ICM

6. Kun Sun Ministry
Special Opportunity to serve at Stanley Prison or Lai Chi Kok Prison with Kun Sun
The Kun Sun ministry helps prisoners, rehabilitated persons, and their families experience a rebuilding of life and reconciliation through the proclamation of the Gospel and the manifestation of Christ’s love. Bless the City participants, especially for new volunteers who have not yet gone through the required training, are given a special opportunity to join the Kun Sun ministry and to share God’s love with the inmates at the Stanley Prison or Lai Chi Kok Prison. The visit will include sharing of the Gospel and praying time.
Time commitment:
- 9:15am arrival at prison - 12:15pm
What to bring: Participants must bring their HKID to enter the prison premises, along with water, comfortable walking shoes, and an Octopus card.
Suitable for: Adults only
- Stanley Prison: 26 years old and above
- Lai Chi Kok Prison: 21 years old and above
Maximum participants:
- Stanley Prison: English-speaking service with male prisoners (2-4 men and a maximum of 2 women)
- Lai Chi Kok Prison: Cantonese-speaking service with male prisoners (2-4 men and a maximum of 2 women)
Briefing: There will be a short briefing via Zoom at a time to be announced later. For those with scheduling conflicts, an alternative time will be arranged.
Special requirement: There is a strict deadline for sign-up—participants’ full names as they appear on their ID cards, along with a copy of their HKID, must be submitted by August 12, 2025.

7. Sons & Daughters
Love. Family. Freedom - Serve with Sons & Daughters to Care for Survivors of Trafficking and Exploitation
Sons & Daughters (S&D) helps men and women who are at risk or trapped in sex trafficking and/or sexual exploitation to reclaim a life of love, family, and freedom. Through weekly outreaches in red-light districts, career training for their resettlement and counseling at our drop-in center, S&D team members build relationships with trafficking survivors and share a crucial message: “here is a safe place for you – safe, feel supported and free.” Bless The City participants will gain an opportunity to visit the S&D drop-in center for an informative session about human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation & industry, learn about how S&D brings justice to the city, write cards of encouragement to our workers and survivors, and go on a Prayer Walk in the areas.
Time commitment: 9:15am Commissioning at Union Church; 10:15am - 12:30pm at S&D

Suitable for: Individuals and mature youth (>16 years old)
Maximum participants: 15 persons

8. St. Barnabas Society and Home
Serving Our Elderly Neighbors at St. Barnabas Society and Home: Love Feast, Games, and Fellowship
The vision of SBSH is to bring God’s love and hope to the poor and the homeless in Hong Kong, showing them God’s love and being there to give them support and care for their lives. Located in the western district on Hong Kong Island, SBSH cares deeply for the elderly, children, low income families, and homeless in the district, and provides food, shelter, counseling, and tutoring services for those in need. Bless the City participants will help to prepare and serve lunch to over 100 elderly at SBSH, as well as playing games and music, and sharing fellowship time together.
Time commitment: 9:15am Commissioning at Union Church; 10:30am-1pm at SBSH
