DEACONS' COURT
I accepted Christ during my teenage years and went through the different stages of church life: teaching Sunday School, leading Youth groups and facilitating peer Bible studies. After graduation, I served as an ordained pastor for seven years in the Methodist Church in Malaysia.
After that I ventured into the commercial world and for 20 years, I thought I was doing well. Then one day, I was suddenly struck with (on all accounts) a sure-death condition. However, He is faithful and didn’t let go of me! What a wake-up call! The aftermath was a series of painful and ugly struggles (physically and spiritually), but finally the grace and love of God prevailed, and peace came upon me. Although now divorced, I have three wonderful daughters (all living abroad). I have since rededicated my life to the Lord and pray that the lessons from the “years in the wilderness” will be put to good use for His Kingdom.
I’ve been in Hong Kong since 2000, and continue being active as a business innovation consultant, executive and life coach, crossing paths with a wide spectrum of people from MNCs to SMEs and from NGOs to Church pastors and ministers. By the Lord’s grace, I joined Union Church Hong Kong, and since then I’ve had the privilege of serving with the Missions Committee and the Committee of Management. He caused me to be active in some prayer groups and gave me the opportunity of running the first Chinese Alpha in Union.
And now I’m honored to be given the privilege to serve alongside the Deacons. All Glory and to His Holy Name!
