Ka Lay Grace Siu
DEACONS' COURT
Grace has been a member of Union Church since 2009. She embraced the Christian faith at the age of 16 while studying abroad, igniting a lifelong passion for worship. Grace has taught and coached congregations on worship renewal throughout Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Asia as part of her active involvement in worship ministry. Her expertise encompasses biblical presentation, worship flow design, and liturgy crafting.
In June 2013, Grace earned her master’s degree in worship studies from The Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies in the United States. She continued her theological journey, obtaining an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Worship Studies from the same seminary in June 2019. In 2016, her exceptional theological research and study earned her recognition as a Borchert Scholar and the Borchert Prize for Worship Research.
Grace served on the Committee of Management from 2015 to 2018. She has been a worship leader at both the 5:00 PM evening service and the 11:15 AM contemporary worship service. Currently, she is an active member of the worship team for the 8:45 AM service.
Additionally, Grace also serves on the board of a number of Christian organizations. Professionally, she is a seasoned town planner and engages in delivering impactful and sustainable projects that positively influence Hong Kong’s development.
