My new word for the week is “God-incidence.” Too many “coincidences” have happened to me in too short a time span. Maybe this happens often but I am too self-other-than-God consumed to notice. A recent preacher mentioned Brother Lawrence and his spiritual classic, “Practicing the Presence of God.” As I pondered what that would look like in my life, it seems that our Lord seems to be speaking above the din of competing voices in my life. As Psalm 1:6 promises, “the Lord watches over the way of the righteous.” Righteous, only because of Christ, “we know that all things work together for good.” Have you had a series of recent “God-incidences?”

This Sunday we welcome Dr. Richard Higginson, from the Faculty of Divinity at Cambridge and an expert on applying the faith to the marketplace. He will be speaking at the 9:45AM and 11:15AM services.
