U Matters

Psalm 19 is called by C.S. Lewis as the "greatest poem in the Psalter and one of the greatest lyric poems in the world.” It’s closing verse is a prayer we should pray every day: "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.” It is hard to go through a day using only God-acceptable speech, let alone thinking acceptable thoughts. It is early in the day but already my thoughts and words have not always honoured God. Is Christ represented well by the thoughts you think and words you use?

"The heavens are telling the glory of God,” begins the Psalmist. Are our thoughts and words declaring the glory of God? As I was writing this someone called with words of wisdom and encouragement. I thank the Lord that there are people who have the ability to encourage me to live a more-Christlike life. Psalm 19 warns us of “hidden faults.” Please pray for me as I seek allow my thoughts and speech to be held captive by the Word of God.

Please take a few minutes to read the 19th Psalm. It might make your day — or your life.

We have been blessed by God's provision through your generous support and the Matching Fund donor. A total of HK$297,624 has been raised for HKCNP. Thank you!.

Gratefully,
Pastor Greg

Small Groups

Small groups are where we dig into the nitty-gritty of following Jesus. Studying the Bible, reading topical books, praying, laughing and eating together--small groups are where we connect with each other. Groups meet all over Hong Kong on different days of the week. Adult Education

New ReCharge Class from 23 May to 27 June: Six Weeks of Psalms, with C.S. Lewis, Pastor Greg and Monte Peterson
Using C.S. Lewis' Reflections on the Psalms, we will spend six weeks enjoying the Psalms' beauty and theology, as well as how they reflect the entire human experience, from exuberant praise to crippling shame to vengeful rage. Lewis will be our guide, but we will all be reading, singing, lamenting and praising together, learning what a gift the Psalms are to our spiritual lives.
