U Matters

With so much change and transition in individual lives, the city and the world, we are grateful that there are some consistencies. First of all, scripture says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Second, we have been blessed to have the consistent leadership of those in worship ministry. Thank you especially to the long term ministry of our choir director Forrest Morr, Rob and Betty Porter on Sound and video and Chris York our worship director.

This past week we celebrated, by Zoom, Barbara and Chris York’s 10 year anniversary at Union Church. What a milestone! Not all worship directors are able to lead in both traditional and contemporary worship styles. Over the years, Chris has also worked with children in music makers, with the children’s Sunday School for Christmas, the choir and developed various worship leaders.  The church has also benefited from Barbara’s teaching - thank you for leading a small group, working in the sound booth for “easy worship,” and being a Stephens Minister. As our worship services go back online again, we are so grateful for the expertise, the commitment and the servant heart you all have. Lord bless you as we continue to work together to glorify God and build up His kingdom

Blessings, Pastor Michele

Inner City Ministries focuses on helping the ethnic minorities and their families in Hong Kong. One special group of people that Inner City Ministries help are recovering drug addicts. Another exciting opportunity is to volunteer and help in their children’s program. Learn more about how to keep kids safe or to mentor them at innercityministries.org/children
