U Matters

In Wednesday’s Summer Psalms class someone shared a word: ”Magnificant.”  He said a friend put together two words: “magnificent” and “significant.”  It calls to mind, Mary’s Magnificat (Latin for magnifies), as in “My soul magnifies” the Lord.  This week we will talk about Psalms of praise, where we celebrate how magnificent and significant is the God we worship.

This week we will celebrate a baptism and learn about the 22 women from Union that shared their faith in a prison this week.  But most for all we will praise and celebrate a God who created us, saved us, protects us, and one day bring justice to this world and our lives.  Even though it is summer, please join us.

Gratefully,
Pastor Greg

Serve

If you are looking for a place to serve at Union Church Pastor Michele would love to chat!
With growing services, especially at 11:15AM service, we have 4 locations operational at the same time, we could really use your help in the usher greeter team.
Options:
Main sanctuary (4 people needed each Sunday; welcoming, actively seating; offering);Door (this is a meet and greet -traffic control -directing people -children, bathrooms, services etc)Foyer (front line of Union Church -welcoming, directing people to Hotel Indigo when the 18/F is full)
If you can help once a month it would be greatly appreciated.

Dinner will be from 5:00PM to 8:00PM.  Please RSVP your presence (online or email Anto) before 1 July.
