DEACONS' COURT
My faith journey began in my early teens and took me through various stages of church life: teaching Sunday school, leading youth groups, and facilitating peer Bible studies. After graduation, I served as an ordained pastor in the Methodist Church in Malaysia for seven years.
I then ventured into the commercial world, and for the first twenty-five years, I thought I was doing well. Then one day, I was suddenly struck—by all accounts—with a condition that should have been fatal. Yet He remained faithful and did not let go of me. What a wake-up call! What followed was a series of painful and ugly struggles, both physically and spiritually. But in the end, the grace and love of God prevailed, and peace came upon me. Though I am now divorced, I have been blessed with three wonderful daughters (all living abroad). Since then, I have rededicated my life to the Lord and pray that the lessons from my “years in the wilderness” will be put to good use for His Kingdom.
I have lived in Hong Kong since 2000, and I continue to be active as a business innovation consultant, executive coach, and life coach. My path crosses with a wide spectrum of people—from MNCs to SMEs, and from NGOs to church pastors and ministers. By the Lord’s grace, I joined Union Church Hong Kong, and since then I have had the privilege of serving on the Missions Committee and the Committee of Management. Over the past two years, I have also served as a deacon, a Stephen Minister, a mentor, and have been running the Chinese Alpha and subsequent Beta classes.
