Christine Yeung

Christine Yeung was born in Hong Kong.  She accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour in 1981 and was baptised at the Western Baptist Church Hong Kong in 1985.  Christine has over 30 years of banking experience in Asia and North America and is currently the Greater China CEO of United Overseas Bank.  Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Hong Kong and an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.  Christine also holds a Graduate Diploma of Christian Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Christine and her husband KK Ip, who is a Chaplain at St. John’s College of HKU, were married in Union Church in 1990.  They are both members of Union Church and belong to the Saturday Morning family small group.  Christine is a member of the Union Church choir and KK serves on the Missions Committee.  Christine is also a member of the Committee of Management, where she serves the Union congregation and helps to reach out to the people of Hong Kong.

Over the years, in previous places of worship, Christine had served as a choir member, pianist, youth Sunday School teacher and young adult fellowship chair. Christine has also set up a Working Ladies Fellowship when she worked as an expat in Shanghai. Due to her passion for mission and marketplace ministry, Christine, together with KK, serves and supports missional works in China and Southeast Asia. Christine was also involved in setting up a Christian teaching NGO in China and Hong Kong. Christine coaches college students on Christian and Business ethnics at various universities in Hong Kong, China and Singapore.

Christine and KK have two adult children who are baptised.
