Pray Until Something Happens - this weeks prayer items...
- Pray for prayer, as Union Church enters the season of Lent, to be underpinned by a Union Church season of prayer commencing immediately following the Chinese New Year holidays. "May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice." Psalm 141:2
- As we enter the Chinese New Year holiday pray for safe journeys for people who travel. Pray that the Lord's angels bring people back safely to Hong Kong. Pray that during the holiday everyone finds rest and rejuvenation in the company of family and friends. Pray that as people enter the New Year they, "see the year with a wider view; see others' faults through the eyes of You; that the Lord teach us to judge not with hasty tongue, neither the adult ... nor the young."
- Pray for people experiencing stress and upheaval in their lives. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." Isaiah 43:2
- Pray for the Building Union For the Future project. Pray for God's will to be done and pray for God's best for Union Church. Pray that people see how God is building His Kingdom through Union Church and that in that place people find, or continue to find, a spiritual family at Union Church that will help them explore and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ.
