Prayer Until Something Happens - this week's prayer items...

As the Union Church community moves from the current premises that we love so dearly, many are at a loss of what to pray or say. But The Lord is with us even during these times. Pray for us to finish well in our current building. Pray for healing for those who are hurting. Pray for completion as we say good-bye to the building. Pray that we all trust in the Lord and His Plans. Pray the following scriptures…

  • Give praise and pray that… "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God." Romans 8:26-27

  • Give praise and pray… "Jesus the Great High Priest: Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin."

  • Pray for God's Will and that our actions be Biblically grounded… "For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."  2 Peter 1:21 and "And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual." 1 Corinthians 2:13

  • The lord's Prayer: Pray as Jesus taught us to pray… "Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen." Matthew 6:9–13

Lord, hear our Prayers. Amen.
