We have not one but two amazing speakers this Sunday.   At 8:45AM and 9:45AM Dr. Darrell Johnson will preach.  He has taught at Fuller, Regent, and Carey seminaries.  He has pastored several churches.  He was in Manila during the end of the Marcos regime.  His heroic weekly radio broadcasts from Union Church Manila made him a cherished figure in the Philippines.  He was simply loving his neighbour and standing up for justice.

At 11:15AM Ken Wytsma, the founder of the Justice Conference held all over the globe, including HK this week, will speak.  Then at 12:30PM he will give a special lecture on the “History of Justice” follows by a Q&A.   Ken believes that “true life is found when we give our lives away on behalf of others.”   Unfortunately, the HK Justice Conference is sold out, but we get the chance to hear the founder in a very special lecture.

Pastor Michele knows Dr. Johnson and Andrew Gardner of the Vine wanted Union to have the chance to hear Ken.  I want to thank these two pastors for giving us a chance to hear two Christian statesmen who have changed their world.  Come prepared to have Christ change your life as we worship together!

This Sunday we will take a 10/10/10 offering for the Hong Kong Church Network for the Poor to address the needs of the over one million HK residents living in poverty. I encourage each person to give generously to fund creative programs to reach the surprisingly large percentage of Hong Kong people in poverty.

Gratefully
Pastor Greg
