Prayer Until Something Happens - this week's prayer items...
- Give praise for the safe return of friends and families after the summer break. Pray for individuals and volunteers to jump into the many new activities planned at Union Church in the coming months. Pray for volunteers to come forward and assist with Union Church activities such as Youth Group, Sunday School, Ushering and Greeting.
- Pray for individuals who are sick and especially those facing terminal situations. "When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick." Matthew 14:14
- Pray for continued world peace in conflict zones. Pray for a softening of people's hearts. "Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:31:32 Pray for victims (and their families/friends) of disasters and accidents, such as the Italian bridge collapse.
- Pray for Union Church and the individuals working on the BUFF project. Pray for local and overseas mission initiatives. "but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts." 1 Thessalonians 2:4
