Prayer Until Something Happens - this week's prayer items...

• “For Thou art out salvation, Lord, our refuge and our great reward; Once more upon Thy people shine and fill the world with love divine.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

• Jesus Christ is God with us that we may become humans with God – following the way of life, set free from the pattern of sin, reflecting God’s presence in him to our neighbours. May Jesus Christ, God with us grant us the courage to follow him in serving love. Amen.

• Heavenly Father, as we continue with the advent season, we ask that through your Spirit you lead us in our meditation of your Word and help us to be still, put down our reliance on our own abilities and truly long for Jesus our Lord and have our hearts purified and prepared for the coming of our Saviour.

• Father God, we lift up those who do not have families to celebrate Christmas with this year; we lift up also those who lost their loved ones this year. We pray that your Holy Spirit will be their help and comfort and your love will fill their hearts. We also pray that you will provide us with opportunities to open our homes and welcome them in.

• Lord we pray for the victims of the two school bus accidents in Hong Kong this week and their families. We pray for healing for the survivors, we pray for comfort for the families who mourn. We pray that the loving arms of Jesus Christ will hold all those affected at this difficult time.

• Lord God we pray for our church family, for unity as body of Christ. Looking forward to 2019, we thank you that it will be the 175th anniversary of our church. We pray that it will be a year of thanksgiving of your faithfulness as well as renewal of our commitment to you as our One and Only God.
