Prayer Until Something Happens - this week's prayer items...
- Pray for the persecuted church by joining in today's International Day of Prayer. Pray for Christians to stand strong in the face of persecution and that the Lord equips them to shine Christ's light in dark places. Follow "Open Doors USA" on Facebook to learn more about this global event.
- Pray for the US as it holds elections on 8 November. Pray for calm, peace and wisdom amongst leaders and citizens. Pray that disagreements, if any, are resolved in a peaceful manner.
- Pray for the Iraqi forces liberating Mosul from ISIS. Especially pray for civilians who have remained in Mosul: pray for their safety, pray that they stay out of harms way, pray for provision of their daily needs. Pray for random acts of kindness.
- Pray for rest and calm for people experiencing stress in their daily lives. “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5: 6-7
