September 7 is "Kick-Off" Sunday at Union, although a bunch of people didn't get the memo. Last Sunday felt like a "Kick-Off." We broke the all-time adults in worship attendance record and our Sunday school attendance was almost a record high for the year. Our Lord has some special plans for us this year and we are trying to keep up with him.

Pastor Marybeth Asher-Lawson has assembled a team of teachers and a new format that will include kids in the first part of the morning worship services.

The Adult Choir and the Worship teams are preparing to lead us in worship at the now four services.

Kristin Franke tells me that the youth groups will welcome all newcomers with a Friday Unite at 6:30, with a junk trip to follow on Saturday (10Am-6PM Aberdeen Marina Club-rsvp Kristin.Franke@unionchurchhk.org.

Pastor May will have her welcome teams out in force. We don't want you to get lost in the crowd. At the same time, we encourage you to reach out to the newcomers.

Starting Thursday 18 September, this is a practical and supportive course, giving any separated or divorced person an opportunity to discuss the challenges they are facing and the tools to deal with these effectively.  This course is conducted by people who understand the pain caused by divorce or separation, and is for any person who is currently going through this pain or has been separated or divorced in the past.  Read more...

New Sunday School Excitement

The new Sunday School year will kick off on September 7 at 9:30 and 11:00 AM.  At both services, children will begin with worship in the Sanctuary or U-Café with their parents, then go to their own learning experience.  Read more...
