Friday October 31 Union’s Fellowship Hall and grounds were covered with kids.  The annual Hallelujah Party, with around 200 participants was in full force. Pastor Marybeth and her team of adult and youth volunteers gave the kids a night to remember.

Hallelujah, Halleluyah, or Alleluia, is a transliteration of the Hebrew word meaning "[Let us] praise." It is found mainly in the book of Psalms. Its Latin form Alleluia is used by many English-speaking Christians in preference to Hallelujah.  Whether you say Hallelujah or Alleuia, we hope that Union is a place of praise to God.  In a very uncertain world, where many of us battle with emotional and economic trauma, it is sometimes hard to take time for thanksgiving and praise. The Psalmist says that God inhabits in the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3).  C S Lewis writes that “it is in the process of being worshipped that God communicates hHs presence.”

November is a month of Thanksgiving and celebration for God’s good gifts.  May this and every day, be for you, a Hallelujah day!

Verse of The Day

“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (Ephesians 5:1-2)
