To lead believers from knowing Jesus as Savior to honouring Jesus as Lord to becoming fruit-bearing servant leaders willing and able to make disciples
“…to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:12-13
We are all walking the same faith journey, but each one of us is at a different stage. There are many challenges on our time living in Hong Kong, as we strive to find the balance of our family and work, the necessity to be physically and spiritually healthy, with the need for rest. Wherever you are in your spiritual journey, Union Church is keen to offer everyone an opportunity to be supported in that quest for “maturity in Christ”. We seek to keep you on the right track through affinity small group study and/or focused discipling courses to suit your lifestyle.

To the unbeliever, Jesus says, “Come to me” Matthew 11:28. Those who respond to His call in repentance and faith become believers.
When we become believers, He says, “Come follow me” Matthew 4:19. This is because He wants us to grow from being believers to being disciples. Disciples are those who follow Jesus, honouring Him as Lord by spending time with him daily and living out his commands in obedience ( 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbour as yourself.’ Luke 10:27 ).
And to the disciple, he extends a further promise, “I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19. He teaches us what it means to be disciple-makers. He trains us to help others to grow in their faith and understanding of who God is. Then finally He sends us out with His great commission, “You are to go and make disciples of all nations” Matthew 28:19.
“Progress… is a journey into the trustworthy unknown of a personal God personally known. It is a way of admitting that we are permanently on the Way. It is a way of continually learning that discipleship means learning.” Roger Pooley & Philip Seddon, Lord of the Journey.
